About PRQ Pendant Controllers

R&M's PRQ pendant controllers feature an ergonomic design for easy one-hand operation of your crane. The lightweight design allows operators a more comfortable grip to better control the crane or hoist. The PRQ pendant controller is designed to be used in conjunction with the Spacemaster® SXR rope hoists, Spacemaster® SX wire rope hoists, LK and LR electric chain hoists and all crane packages.

R&M's PD pendant is a classic pendant design with all control buttons arranged in a single row. Its simple, rugged design provides straightforward operation for a large range of crane and hoist applications.

What is the difference between the PRQ and PD pendant (pushbutton) controllers?

R&M offers two wired crane pendant controller options for hoists and crane motions.

The PRQ pendant controller features an ergonomic pistol-grip design for comfortable one-hand operation and is available in 2, 4 and 6 button configurations. Selector switch functions are also available for controlling multiple hoists on one crane or special crane functions. The PRQ pendant is R&M's standard and most economical pendant offering.

The PD pendant controller features a traditional single-row layout with motion buttons, start and Emergency Stop (E-stop), with options for auxiliary controls. The PD pendant offers an additional housing body with independent secondary hoisting buttons.

Both are designed for industrial crane and hoist applications. The best choice depends on operator preference, desired control layout and the operating environment.

The PD pendant controller offers a configurable single-row layout with dedicated start and Emergency Stop (E-stop) controls, along with optional auxiliary functions such as horn or selector switches.

These options allow the pushbutton controller to be matched to the motion and control requirements of the crane or hoist system. No matter which pendant is selected, the pendant cable length (pendant drop) will be customized to match the lift height and/or application.
